The only limits in life are the one’s you create.
Permanent weight loss is about living a full and satisfying life. It means having a starring role in your own life. Many of you who struggle with food, diets, and weight loss have used these as a security blanket. The weight and food obsession has been used as an excuse, and a reason to hide from life.
This fear has often taken the form of excuses and rationalizations about why you couldn’t live the life you have wanted. In order to become a shining star in your own life, you will have to come face to face with your fears. This involves looking at the stories you tell yourself about why you hide your own light.
You are the author of the story of your life. You have the power to tell yourself a different story. If you don’t like the particular story line you are living, you can create a different story. You don’t have to be stuck in this one.
You are a co-creator. You are far more powerful than you think you are – to believe less than this is to believe a lie. Why would you want to believe a lie?
It keeps you stuck and safe, and then you don’t have to become responsible. You don’t have to take risks, and you can stay a passive observer in life, a reactor, instead of an actor.
Why would you want to stay stuck? You would rather stay with the comfort of the known, than to face something new. It’s that simple. You are afraid to grow.
The greatest tragedy in life is to stay the same. You stay with the known because of fear. The fear of the unknown becomes your jailer and your prison. To not grow is to die a slow death. You stagnate, get fat, and eventually you die. You are going to die anyway. The truth is you have nothing to lose, but fear itself! When you decide to drop the fear, you gain a life. You also drop the pounds.
The saddest part is that fear is not real. It is only an illusion. You believe this fear, and this fear holds you hostage. The more you buy into fear, the stronger it has a hold on you. Fear is what limits you. It is entirely self created. The only limits are the one’s you create.
When you identify with your mind and your thoughts, you begin to believe a lie. The lie is that you are your mind and feelings. You then become identified with your fears and insecurities. You think you are unworthy, therefore you feel unworthy.
You are so much bigger than your thoughts. When you begin to realize this, you can give the mind a new job – the job of working for you, instead of against you.
Has beating yourself up ever worked for you? Has holding on to this all this self loathing and unhappiness given you what you want in life?
Fear is the domain of the ego. It tells you that you can never be enough. The ego is the bully of the heart. It clings to its own self importance. It fears the expansion of your heart because it knows when you realize your true identity, its gig as the dictator of your spirit will be up.
Who you truly are is in your heart. Your spirit is love itself! That love wants what is best for you. There is a higher plan for your life. Trust in that.
Surrender to who you are. Align your mind with the truth of your being. When you are in alignment with your true nature, you will be at peace. You do this by giving the mind a new employer: the soul.
You align and surrender your fear to The Universal Mind or God, the higher mind and infinite intelligence that connects us all. You connect to this mind by asking for guidance and help in prayer or meditation. You ask God or a Higher Power to direct your thinking.
Ask God or your inner guidance to show you what (he,she,it) wants for you. Ask to be shown the way. Ask to be relieved of this fear. Ask to be given peace. Ask as if your life depended on it. It does!
True freedom lies in seeing through fear. Your real life is waiting for you on the other side of fear.
To get to the other side you must surrender. You surrender your fear to find your love, the truth of your being.
What will you choose: love or fear?
The choice is up to you.
