Is fat your scapegoat?

Many people stay overweight because it gives them an excuse for not going after the things they really want in life. They blame their weight on their failures in life or use it to protect themselves from pain, but eventually an unlived life becomes a far greater type of pain.

If you feel this is true for you, the best thing you can do is to write out a list of the things that you feel you avoid or put off because of your weight. Then, begin to take small actions towards the things you really want to do. Don’t wait until you lose weight; begin to live your best life right now.
