To affirm means “to make firm.” Firm thinking leads to firm thighs!
Affirmations are a powerful weapon in your weight loss arsenal. They have
helped many people on the path to permanent weight loss. They help you to stay focused and keep your mind on what you are trying to achieve.
What you put your attention on grows. The law of attraction states that you
attract to you what you think and feel most about. Your mind is like a powerful
magnet attracting to you people and events that energetically match the content
or vibration of your thoughts.
Most people make the mistake of focusing on what they don't want. When you are overweight your attention is focused on fat, food, diets, calories, etc. You are negatively focused. You are focused on the problem.
The key to using the law of attraction for weight loss is to stay focused on the solution. Instead of focusing on what you have to give up, focus on all the benefits you will gain by losing weight. The quickest way to do this is by using affirmations. Affirmations reframe negative thoughts into powerfully creative ones.
Read through all of the following affirmations. Pick
several that ring true for you right now. Repeat these affirmations throughout
your day. To be even more effective you can use them 10 times a day twice a day.
It is especially important to start your day with your
affirmations as this sets the intent or foundation for your day. It’s also
very important to end your day with some affirmations right before you drift off
to sleep. Your subconscious is very suggestible then.
Your car is a great place
to do your affirmations. When you are stuck in traffic try singing your
affirmations. Think of your car as your “affirmation station.”
Also try affirmative walking. When you take a walk repeat your favorite exercise and body affirmations
and you will see a positive difference in your attitude towards exercise.
Some people choose to write out their affirmations. When
writing your own affirmations make sure they are stated positively and in the
present tense, using words such as "I am", "I can", "I now", etc.” It can
be very powerful to write one or two affirmations 100 times each on a daily
basis. This helps to imprint the subconscious.
I recommend printing out the affirmations and taping them to the
fridge, mirror and any other place where you can see them. You can carry some
in your purse to read for support you when you are tempted. You might also want
to make a tape recording or cd of your favorite affirmations to listen to throughout
your day.

I release the need to hold onto weight.
I feel and think thin!
I am getting stronger, healthier and more vibrant each and every day!
Eating Well
I choose foods that truly nourish me.
I chew slowly.
I eat to nurture my body and my soul.

I set goals that are easily obtainable.
Positive Thinking
I choose positive thoughts.
I release my negativity.
I turn negatives into positives.
Mistakes And Setbacks
Mistakes are what I do, not what I am.
Mistakes are part of the learning process.
I allow myself to make mistakes as I am learning.
Mistakes are part of being human.
Self Esteem
I respect myself.
I am worthy of being treated with respect.
I am becoming the woman I want to be.
Exercise
I nurture my body and my soul.
I love my body.
Exercise feels good!
Law Of Attraction
The Universe supports me and gives me what I need.
I attract my good to me.
My good is on my way!
I am aligned with the creative vibration of the universe!
Intuition
I listen to the small, still voice within.
My intuition guides me.
My intuition can be found in the silence.
I trust the wisdom that is inside me.
Support
I am never alone.
I ask for what I need.
The universe lovingly supports me.
Attitude
I choose to live in the solution, not the problem.
When life hands me lemons I make lemonade.
I am responsible for my attitude.
Body Love
My body is here to lovingly serve me.
My body becomes more beautiful with each day.
My body pulsates with the rhythms of life.
My body is the temple of my spirit.
Living In The Moment
I give myself permission to just be.
I am more than what I do.
I am a being, not a doing.
Happiness is right here in the moment.
Acceptance
I am good enough as is.
I am perfectly imperfect.
I accept myself unconditionally.
I practice acceptance.
Spiritual
I am what I have been looking for.
I am taking back my power.
I am a radiant being.
I am filled with light.
My gifts are needed in the world.
I have a unique purpose in life.
