The Weight Loss
Master's Club is designed to shift your focus away from food and
weight, and into the joy of life. It
teaches you new ways of being that nurture your spiritual, mental,
emotional, and physical self. When you feel better, you eat better!
A
weight loss master is one who has achieved his or her
goal weight and has maintained that loss for at least 3 years. A master
has made peace with food and has said yes to life. She or he has
begun to nourish their soul. To become a master is to become a master
of
self. True power is always mastery of self, never mastery over others.
A
weight loss master is a master of his or her own
mind. Weight
loss begins in the mind. All behavior is preceded by thought and
feeling. Diets fail you
because you
haven’t had a change of thought.
Diet
and exercise without a change in thought, feeling and attitude is
putting the
cart before
the horse. After you lose the weight, you will go right back to the
same behaviors and patterns that got you overweight to begin
with. This is the
recipe for
failure. Change your mind and your body will follow!
The
skills of weight and life mastery are one
and the same. Your
relationship with food mirrors your relationship with all of life. If
you are compulsive and out of balance with food, your entire life will
be out of balance. You eat how you are.
When
you are at peace with yourself, you will be
at peace with food.

class fee includes a free one hour private coaching session with
Catherine. Also
included are 2 CDs by Catherine L. Taylor: Visualization For
Weight Loss and The Power Of Affirmations, Reshaping Your Mind, Body
And Reality One Thought At A Time.
Note: This class has an
experiential component. Active sharing and participation is required.
You will be given daily and weekly guidelines and skills
to practice.You will be paired up with a weight loss buddy to practice
the skills and to get support through a daily email or phone call.
This course encourages but does not include exercise. There will be
demonstrations of various exercises. Before starting any weight loss or
fitness program, one should get a clearance from a physican.
This
program is not a religious program and does not require
a
belief in God or Buddhism to be effective. It complements and
allows all spiritual beliefs
and paths. It does assert that you possess the inner wisdom and
guidance to lead you into a place of joy and balance. This is your
birthright.
In
order for this
program to
be effective you must bring a willingness to change. You are not
required to do any of this perfectly. You will be learning how to
navigate and make change work for you. Mistakes are actually encouraged
as this is part of the learning process!
All
that is required is that you fully show up and
participate. This
program
requires that you be ready to take responsibility for your life,
health and happiness. You must be willing to put these skills
into
practice.
Knowledge
can only take one so far; it is the daily practice
of these skills that makes them become a permanent part of your
being. Then knowledge becomes wisdom.

in several
formats: a 4 hour introductory workshop, a
3 weekend intensive, and an 8 week series. The Weight Loss Master's
Club is available in San Mateo, Palo Alto, and the San
Francisco Bay Area.

Council on Exercise as a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant.

recovery from binge eating disorder. She brings her keen insight, wit
