Catherine L. Taylor is a weight loss and emotional eating expert who specializes in overcoming emotional eating and permanent weight loss. Her work emphasizes a non-diet approach, and incorporates mindfulness, mind/body techniques, and the art of self-care. The foundation of her work is self-love and acceptance.
She is also a writer, painter and photographer. Catherine is the author of the book and audio program "Affirmations for Weight Loss and Wellness," "The Law of Attraction for Weight Loss," "The How You do Food is How You do Life" Mindful Eating Program, and the forthcoming book "Thinnerisms." Thinnerisms was a top winner in the Transformational Author's Contest sponsored by Hay House and Balboa Publishers.
Catherine has conducted mind/body healing workshops for Kaiser Permanente, The Learning Exchange, spiritual centers, and community colleges. She has been a Health and Weight Management Coach for the past 18 years.
At 16 years old, Catherine was told to lose 10 lbs. off her already slender frame for modeling. That was the trigger for her own emotional eating disorder. Catherine struggled with chronic dieting, distorted body image, exercise bulimia, and binge eating for 13 years until she found a way out of the insanity. She has 30 years of recovery.
