Weight Loss And Spiritual Awakening - Springtime Of The Heart

The Blooming Heart Basks In The Sunshine Of An Eternal
Spring
The path of permanent weight loss leads to spiritual awakening.
Awakening is the eternal springtime of the heart.
Spring is a time of flowering and renewal. Blossoms are
plentiful and abundant. Our spirits expand and open to bask in the sunlight
after being dormant in the darkness of winter.
Spring is ripe with new possibilities. It is a time of new beginnings and hope. Our spirits want to dance and revel in
spring’s fragrant abundance. If we have used our time of darkness wisely, we have more
light in our hearts to shine forth and illuminate the world with.
Awakening is the flowering of the spirit. Our spirits are like the flowers; they bloom
and bask in an eternal spring. This awakening or
flowering is endless. It is the eternal springtime of the heart.
This flowering is the heart’s bounty. It can only be reached
by surrendering one’s ego, so that the resurrection of the spirit can take
place.
This resurrection is a radical restructuring and integration
of all aspects of the self. It takes the split off, disowned and fragmented
parts of the self and weaves them into a tapestry of brilliant colors. This is
the tapestry of the soul.
Within this tapestry, all aspects of the self blossom, unleashing
your soul’s genius and creativity in a flowering of bliss, creativity
and abundance. This is the flowering of the soul. Its fullness knows no bounds.
It’s brilliance flows outward to light up the world!
This flowering must be shared with others. It blesses
everyone who meets it. This generosity of spirit is everyone’s birthright. Some
of us experience awakening when we die and some of us die before death, to be reborn
in eternal splendor while we still walk this earth.
How does one awaken to this eternal spring
How does one awaken to this eternal spring?
It comes by
surrendering to the flow of life. You surrender the ego and open to the
void of conscious awareness.
You are the spring. It is your true
nature. It springs forth from the emptiness. The eternal spring lives
in the
void, as does all of creation.
To access your true nature, you peel away
the layers of faulty perceptions and beliefs until you are stripped
down to
your bare essence. Your essence is nothing more than consciousness itself.
Those of us who are obsessed with food, weight
loss, and diets are
afraid of ourselves. We run from feelings of emptiness. Why? Because we
are
confused about who we are.
We are certain that we need something “out there”
to fill us
up because we feel so empty. We get
preoccupied
with weight loss, diets, food and exercise as a way of feeling in
control of our
lives. We are certain that if we can just look a certain way or achieve
a
certain weight or eat a special diet that we will feel better about
ourselves.
Many of us never got our primary needs met as
children.
We may not have gotten enough nurturing, affection, and validation.
Many of us
didn't get adequate mirroring from our parents. Simply put, our love
was
not reflected back to us by our parents. Our parents didn’t know who
they were,
so they could not mirror ourselves back to us. They didn’t have it;
therefore, they couldn’t give it.
Now we don’t know who we are.
In each of us lays the heart of a Buddha, or a
Christ, if
that is your preference. It is a vast wholeness of Self or
consciousness that contains the
universe. We are the world. We are the spring.
Yet, no one can tell us who we are. We must each
experience
it for ourselves. The only way to find out is to explore our Being.
How do you access your true nature? You stop doing
and start
being. You start by being who you are, right where you are. You get
still.
You
stop running from yourself. Remember,
you are the
spring!
Look within. Get curious about your true nature. Ask God or your inner wisdom to reveal who
you are.
Quiet the mind. Your
true nature is beyond mind.
Meditate, do yoga, pray; spend time in the
stillness of nature.
It
all starts by paying attention to yourself. You give yourself the gift
of your
own attention. Begin to access the love inside of you.
Your soul speaks in whispers. You must stop
distracting and
numbing yourself with food and other externals and listen to it. Its
gifts are
endless.
Permanent weight loss involves learning a way of
being in the
world that supports your emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual
self.
Your heart, body and soul want expression. It all
starts by
taking good care of yourself. Love your body by regularly exercising
it. Feed
your body and mind nourishing foods that are alive with the nutrients
of the
earth. Feed your soul by listening to it and heeding it's wisdom.
Learn to relax and enjoy the journey. The path of
permanent
weight loss is above all a joyful one.
Open to your soul’s bounty and you will bask in
the sunshine
of an eternal spring.
May your heart dance eternally amongst the
blossoms!
