How You Do Food Is How
You Do Life!
Hi, I’m Catherine L. Taylor, a.k.a. "The Weight Loss Master."
I created this website
to share the wealth of
knowledge and wisdom I have gained from my 20 years of recovery from
binge
eating disorder, bulimia, chronic dieting, poor body image and the
prison of
self hatred.
I learned that my food and weight issues were masking a much
greater hunger.
That was the hunger for my True Self. To make peace with food and
weight, you
have to make peace with yourself.
The path to permanent weight loss can be a wondrous journey of
self
discovery to reclaim your authentic Self. The late Joseph Campbell
referred to
this quest as The Hero's Journey.
Food and weight obsessions are a calling to wholeness and
spiritual unity.
The weight is only a symptom. The larger issue is one of separation: a
separation of the mind,
body and spirit.
The cure to healing these issues is lifestyle and spiritual
change: a
change in how
you approach and perceive life. All healing has a spiritual component,
whether
you consider yourself religious or not, because this change has to come
from the inside out.
Permanent weight loss is about finding a way of being in the
world that supports one’s spiritual, mental, emotional and
physical health. It is the work of becoming a new self. This path leads
to spiritual awakening, a true flowering of the human spirit.
The
wisdom of Zen is at the heart of my philosophy. Zen is the
practice of bringing your full attention and presence to the
present moment. This practice is called mindfulness.
Mindfulness is the
antidote to mindless
eating and self defeating behaviors around food. It puts you on the
path to permanent weight loss!
The path to wholeness can be found right in front of you.
Change is always found in the power of the present moment. Each moment
contains
an opportunity for
new awareness, new choices and growth.
When you fully inhabit your life with mindful awareness, it
brings an extraordinary richness to life. This richness cannot compare
to even
the most decadent of desserts. With mindfulness, life becomes the
dessert!
A weight loss master is one who has achieved her goal weight and has
maintained that loss for at least 3 years. A master has made peace with
food and weight, and has said yes to
life. She has begun to nourish her soul. To become a master is to
become a master of self. True power is always mastery of self, never
mastery over others.
People who struggle with food and weight struggle with
feelings
of unworthiness. You are disconnected from your True
Self.
My work is to help you reconnect with your inner light, so you
can truly shine. I'm in the business of shining stars!
The skills of weight and life mastery are one and the same. I teach you
that your relationship with food mirrors your relationship with all of
life. If you are compulsive and out of balance with food, your entire
life will be out of balance. You
eat how you are.
When you are at peace with yourself, you will be at peace
with food.
How You Do Food Is How You Do Life!
My mission is to bring people out of the shadows of
emotional overeating and obesity, and into the light of
joy.
As one who has successfully overcome these things, I feel I
have a responsibility to be a beacon of
hope and to
light the path for others who are still suffering with food and weight.
My message is that it is never too late to develop peace and happiness
around the issues of food and weight,
and create the life that you really want. I know - I’m a
late
bloomer! You don't have to be chained by your
past failures. You can start your life over at any time!
The
Secrets are divided into sections: the spiritual and mental secrets, the lifestyle secrets,
the healthy eating secrets, the exercise
secrets and the beauty secrets.
True wholeness, health and beauty encompass the mind, body
and spirit. The greatest secret
and tool of the weight loss master is self-love.
